A New Standard for Sustainable Living
The Pangea Community is built on the principles of off-grid living, combining renewable energy, regenerative farming, and eco-conscious design. Highlights of the development include:

  • Affordable Housing: Homes for families, essential workers, and seniors that eliminate utility costs through off-grid systems.
  • Sustainable Infrastructure: Solar, wind, and micro-hydro energy; rainwater harvesting; greywater recycling, blackwater botanical cells, passive solar, thermal dynamics, recycled materials and more.
  • Regenerative Food Systems: Earthship Walipinis, organic farms, and permaculture practices to produce fresh food year-round for residents and Taos Pueblo partnerships.
  • Cultural Collaboration: A Community Arts & Cultural Center serving as an embassy for Tiwa traditions, fostering cultural exchange, and supporting revenue-sharing initiatives with Taos Pueblo.

Honoring Taos’ Unique Legacy
This development is more than a housing project—it’s a celebration of Taos’ resilience, culture, and deep connection to the land. The community’s design and amenities reflect its commitment to preserving the rural character of Taos while promoting sustainability and multigenerational living. Partnerships with Taos Pueblo, local artisans, and UNM-Taos will ensure this project is a collaboration rooted in the heart of Taos.

“This is about a united team representing Taos and all its diverse cultures, groups, communities, and truly savvy and beautiful people. My role is simply part of a larger team effort. This is a collective project that’s bigger than any one individual or organization. We facilitate to help bring this vision to life. The focus remains on the people, the work, and the shared mission.” – Jonah Reynolds, CEO, Pangea Biotecture.

“To the Taos Community, Taos is a place of resilience and connection, and I’m proud to support the team at Pangea and their vision for the Tarleton Ranch property. Rooted in sustainability, affordable housing, and our shared heritage, this community development project paves the way for a stronger, more sustainable future. – With gratitude, Mike Tarleton.”
